HAYCLIFFE ROAD

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This unique project involved a contemporary modern conversion of an old 1850’s Church into a modern two storey house. The house incorporated stepped floating mezzanine floor levels, with cut out triangular forms to capture the light from a double two storey internal height window. The newly formed contemporary spaces with glass block walls created a series of spatial subdivisions with combined interior design. Exposure and renovation to the Kings trusses allowed for the spatial volume of the house to be increased enhancing the period features of the house whilst simultaneously creating a timeless interior.
