This site is situated in Tewkesbury Conservation Area with a high risk of flooding. The original idea of Conservation generated in Tewkesbury and as The Abbey School was a Grade I Listed building, this made it difficult for the project to receive planning approval. The work involved part demolition of the existing gymnasium and the refurbishment of the existing building to form 19 no. apartments.
